"Oh look honey they're so cute! - Yes, darling and they are selling!"
With Patch 4.1 there are now two new pet-related achievements: Petting Zoo for collecting 100 companion pets and Menagerie for collecting 125. How can we as gold-makers profit from the increased demand for companion pets (AKA mini-pets, vanity pets)? Find out after the jump.
In the wake of Patch 4.1: "Rise of the Zandalari" there have been some major shake-ups in the World of Warcraft economy.
Some were predicted and some have been unexpected. Today we are going to be discussing the absolute free-fall that has happened to the prices of Maelstrom Crystals and how we may be able to take advantage of it as gold-makers.

With patch 4.1 drawing closer and bringing with is the inevitable lowering of Maelstrom Crystal prices many of us are working to liquidate any Maelstrom Crystals we have.
Today I'm going to share a spreadsheet I utilize along with a Auctionator shopping list to quickly analyze the profitability of producing a Maelstrom Crystal via crafting and disenchanting a pair or epic engineering goggles.

On today's Auction House Basics we are going to be talking about how to pick the right starting auction house price for your large-ticket items.
When selling large ticket items is is always important to price them to give the illusion that the item has been in an undercutting war. Why is this important? We will discuss that after the jump.
Patch 4.1 is expected to drop in the next few weeks and bring with it a lowering of vendor price for cut uncommon cataclysm gems (Alicite, Carnelian, Hessonite, Japser, Nightstone and Zephyrite) from 9 gold to 75 silver.
Today we are going to go over the top 5 ways you can adapt and survive the weeks before and after this change.
I've seen many players advertising that they are selling "Valor Boots" in trade chat as Patch 4.1 gets closer and closer.
I'm going to go into the details of how you can check the the Valor boot market (using Auctionator Shopping Lists), get boots at a good price (via haggling) and profit by selling them on the auction house (at the right price).

We've all seen players fruitlessly spamming chat begging for a portal. We also know all mages are greedy elitists who can't be bothered to srop watching "Cake Boss" long enough to press two buttons to help a brother out.
If you are in a level 21 guild you can come to the rescue! Learn how to assist these wayward travelers (and perhaps make a little gold in the process) after the jump.
Breaking news for all those who depend on "The Obsidium Shuffle" for your income. MMO-Champion is reporting that Cataclysm uncommon (green-quality) gems will be be changed in Patch 4.1 from a vendor value of 9 gold each all the way down to 75 silver. (See "Patch 4.1 PTR Notes - April 8th Update" from MMO-Champion.)
"Bold Carnelian, Solid Zephyrite, Subtle Alicite, Perfect Quick Alicite, Sovereign Nightstone, Regal Jasper, Resolute Hessonite, any cut of uncommon gem now sells to NPC for 75 silver instead of 9 gold."
What this means is that if you are sitting on a stockpile of uncommon Cataclysm gems now is the time to cut and vendor many if not all of them. My recommendation of what to do to prepare this change and not lose your shirt is after the jump.
I don't often directly plug things in my blog posts but I thought I'd do it this time as the prize for The Gold Queen's contest celebrating the launch of her new domain was just too juicy to pass up!
Lately a common mantra has been permeating the gold-making community. “Stockpile pyrite ore. Prospect after the patch. Get rich.”
That seems to be where many players thoughts begin and end on the subject. It's understandable. That method seems quite obvious and logical. I don't believe it's that simple.
I don't believe Pyrite Ore is how epic gems will initially come into the game. I believe Blizzard will make epic gems scarce by intially placing them behind 24-hour cooldowns.
In this article I will explain where I believe gems will from and what I am doing to prepare.
We all have them. That level 43 shaman
we abandoned or that level 55 warrior that we stopped playing to roll
a death knight.
We all have a few characters that simply sit
on our character screen and look at us with puppy dog eyes as if asking “Why don't you play with me anymore?”
Today I'm going to be giving a few
suggestion on places in the world we can park these alternate
characters in order to make gold.
So I opened my bags this morning in preparation to sell some enchanting mats on the auction house and noticed something odd. I had an Ashes of Al'ar mount in my inventory.
